Stephen Milling

Stephen Milling (n. Copenhage; 19??), es un bajo lírico danés y graduado de la Royal Danish Academy of Music. Es muy requerido en papeles de Wagner.

Desde 1994 es miembro de la Ópera Real Danesa donde es uno de los bajos principales de la compañia habiendo interpretado Jeronimus en Maskerade de Carl Nielsen y Hunding y Fasolt en la versión integral de El anillo del nibelungo en el nuevo teatro real Opera de Copenhage dirigida por Kasper Holten.

En el área internacional ha cantado en El anillo del nibelungo en Seattle Opera House, en la Vlaamse Opera, Teatro Real de Madrid, Valencia, Wiener Staatsoper, La Scala, Metropolitan Opera, Ópera Lírica de Chicago, la Ópera de San Francisco, Teatro Comunale de Florencia, Londres, Covent Garden, Festival de Salzburgo trabajando con Sir Colin Davis, Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Simon Rattle, Christian Thielemann, Lorin Maazel, Valery Gergiev, Michael Tilson Thomas, Philippe Jordan y otros.

Sus principales roles son Gurnemanz en Parsifal, Landgraf en Tannhäuser, King Marke en Tristan und Isolde, Daland en Der fliegende Holländer, Felipe II en Don Carlos, Fafner en Siegfried, Hagen en Götterdämmerung, Brander en La Damnation de Faust, Sarastro en La flauta mágica, Timur en Turandot, Fasolt en Das Rheingold, Rocco en Fidelio y especialmente Hunding en Die Walküre.
