(1913) Hartbeespoortdam es un asteroide perteneciente al cinturón de asteroides que orbita entre Marte y Júpiter. Su nombre hace referencia al lago Hartbeespoortdam situado al lado del Obervatorio Sur de Leiden en Sudáfrica, donde fue descubierto.[1]

Fue descubierto el 28 de septiembre de 1930 por Hendrik van Gent desde el Observatorio Sur de Leiden, en Hartbeespoort, Johanesburgo, Sudáfrica.
