Ad-Aware es un programa de Lavasoft que detecta y elimina spyware, dialers, troyanos, minería de datos, software agresivo, parásitos, scumware, secuestradores de navegador, y cookies de seguimiento.

Hay una versión freeware llamada Ad-Aware Personal, así como dos productos comerciales, Ad-Aware Plus y Ad-Aware Professional. Las descargas gratuitas incluyen el Ad-Aware Personal Edition, temas, manuales de ayuda, RegHance y el último archivo de definiciones. La versión freeware del Ad-Aware es compatible con las versiones de Microsoft Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003. Desde el 6 de enero de 2006, el Ad-Aware SE Personal es una parte del paquete de Google Pack.

La versión 1.06 fue agregada a Download.com el 27 de mayo de 2005. Desde entonces, y hasta el 28 de marzo de 2006 ha tenido más de 189 millones de descargas.

Norton ASA, junto con Lavasoft, ofrece las versiones Ad-Aware Plus y Ad-Aware Professional. La diferencia principal entre la versión freeware y las versiones Plus y Professional es que estas últimas añaden exploración en tiempo real. La exploración en tiempo real significa que los usuarios están protegidos cuando navegan y no tienen que iniciar la exploración de spywares manualmente, como en la versión freeware.
