USS Norfolk

USS Norfolk ha sido el nombre recibido por tres buques de la Armada de los Estados Unidos , nombrados en honor a la ciudad de Norfolk (Virginia).

  • El primer bergantín durante la guerra no declarada entre Estados Unidos y Francia entre los años 1798 y 1800.
  • El segundo Norfolk (CA-137) debería haber sido un crucero pesado. El buque, fue puesto en grada el 27 de diciembre de 1944 en los astilleros Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, pero su construcción, fue cancelada el 12 de agosto de 1945.
  • El tercer destructor líder de flotillas, El primer gran buque construido en la US Navy tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial, en servicio desde 1953 hasta 1970.
  • El cuarto submarino nuclear de ataque de clase Los Angeles, 1983 actualmente es servicio activo.
