Coordenadas: 41°08′S 175°03′E / -41.133, 175.05 Upper Hutt es la ciudad más pequeña de Nueva Zelanda en población, pero la segunda más grande por superficie, y se ubica en la región de Wellington. Tiene una población de 35.000 habitantes y fue declarada como ciudad en el año 1966.

Geografía

La ciudad está 30 km al noreste de la capital del país, Wellington, y forma parte de su sistema metropolitano. Está centrada en el valle del río Hutt (Hutt River en inglés), el cual fluye desde el noreste hasta el suroeste donde termina en el puerto de Wellington.
