ACCO Brands Corporation (NYSE: ABD) es una empresa de paraguas, creada por la fusión de ACCO World de Fortune Brands con General Binding Corporation.

Historia

En 1903, Fred J. Kline fundó la Compañía Clipper Manufacturing (un fabricante de los clips de papel) en Long Island, Nueva York.

En 1910, la compañía se convirtió en American Clip Company, y primero utilizó el nombre "ACCO" como una sigla, que se convirtió en el nombre oficial de la compañía en 1922.

Después de muchas adquisiciones, ACCO salió a la bolsa en 1983, y fue adquirida en 1987 por American Brands (más tarde Fortune Brands).

En 1922, ACCO UK fue creada de la integración de ACCO Europe y Rexel Ltd. ACCO UK es el mayor fabricante británico de productos de oficina, y sus marcas incluyen Derwen Cumberland Pencil Company.

En 2005, ACCO se separó de Fortune Brands y a través de la fusión con General Binding Corporation, ACCO Brands se formó.[1]
