International Linguistic Association

La International Linguistic Association es una asociación originalmente fundada en 1943 como el Linguistic Circle of New York. Cambió su nombre al actual en 1969.[1]

Contenido

Historia

Basándose en la Société de Linguistique de Paris, establecida en 1864, entre sus 101 miembros fundadores estaban Giuliano Bonfante, André Martinet, Claude Lévi-Strauss, Roman Jakobson y Morris Swadesh.[2]

Publicaciones

Publica, a partir de 1954, la revista cuatrimestral de lingüística WORD.

Congresos

Desde 1955, la asociación organiza una conferencia internacional anual.
