La Labor es un pueblo del municipio de San Ignacio del Estado de Sinaloa. Está ubicado a media hora del centro del municipio y a hora y media del municipio de Mazatlán. Cuenta con 467 habitantes y está a 260 metros de altitud sobre el nivel del mar. quien va a la labor y prueba el agua de santiaguito, regresa. tambien en este pueblo puedes encontrar el rico pan, las empanadas de calabaza y guayaba, los jamoncillos que se hacen con leche,quesos frescos y ricos, en el verano sus alrededores son verdes y bellos campos, las montañas que rodean a este pueblo magico son ideales para quien gusta del campismo, sus paseos al arroyo grande, los tabachines, el rancho del matadero, el manchon de Amalia, en temporada de ciruelas vas a la cañuela a saborear las ricas ciruelas cocidas y pasadas, tambien esperas la temporada de las pitallas, fruta muy esquisita de la region de un cactus que nosotros los laboreños le llamamos pitayo. En el pueblo existen los personajes clasico que todo mundo conoce, el cuate de Pancha Sanches, el Barrios del Borbollon, el Chemon de la Ruffa, el Ramon de Emilio, ( QEPD )el Amo, el Corico, Martin de la Nacha, el Chito Pardo, este ultimo es el peluquero de varias generciones, hijo de Don Chepe Pardo, el peluquero original. recuerda, cuando vayas a La Labor no dejes de ir al agua de santiaguito.
