Lindsey Ann Ballato, conocida como Lyn-Z, es la bajista del grupo de shock rock/electrónica Mindless Self Indulgence.

Nació el 21 de mayo de 1976 en Escocia, Reino Unido. Debido a que su padre está en el ejército, se trasladó a Connecticut, EE.UU. cuando tenía 5 años. Años después se mudó a Brooklyn para estudiar arte. Antes que se uniera a Mindless Self Indulgence, ella tocaba en un grupo cover punk rock de Dolly Parton, y se une a su actual banda en 2001 después de que la bajista Vanessa YT dejara la banda.

En la actualidad trabaja con HUSH, una exposición de arte de viaje basada en diversos artistas visuales.

Mindless Self Indulgence

Lyn-Z es la bajista de Mindless Self Indulgence. Saco con la banda 4 discos hasta la fecha. En el escenario, Lyn-Z se destaca por usar vestidos uniformes de niña de escuela, con un toque personal, y por tocar el bajo haciendo la araña.

En septiembre del 2007 contrajo matrimonio con el vocalista de My Chemical Romance, Gerard Way. El 21 de mayo del 2009 nace su primera hija llamada Bandit Lee Way.

En Las Vegas, junto a su esposo, representaron la muerte del presidente John F. Kennedy.
