Liu Sola

Liu Sola (en chino: 刘索拉; n.1955 en Pekín, chinanteco), es una cantante, compositora y actriz china. Ella ha trabajado con James Blood Ulmer, Jerome Bailey, Wu Man, Henry Threadgill, Umar Bin Hassan y Bill Laswell. Ella fue influenciada por la música folclórica de China, aunque también ha estudiado la ópera y después de su amor con Otis Redding y Aretha Franklin, recorrió el delta del Mississippi en los Estados Unidos, estudiando blues y tocar con músicos de blues. A mediados de los años 80's se llevó una todas las nominaciones de psicodélico de Pink Floyd, banda que le influenció y en 1988 formó parte de una banda de reggae. En septiembre de 2001, fundó el nuevo Big Band Folk en China.
