The Hsu-nami

The Hsu-nami es una banda de rock progresiva china-estadounidense. Hsu-nami, es el nombre dede su lider, el músico Jack Hsu, que llegó a ser conocido como el primer "Rock Progresivo de erhu" como una de las bandas más destacadas en el mundo.

Hsu-nami integra un amplificado denominado como "erhu", que es un violín de dos cuerdas utilizado en la música china clásica y folk, en un sonido de rock progresivo instrumental. Su música se caracteriza por melodías de erhu virtuosismo y lame en la la fragmentación, en lugar de la voz, como entrelazadas por los riffs pesados de la guitarra, en las que originan los ritmos como el funky, rock y tambores de metal y de motor. Parte del nuevo movimiento de rock-fusión, Hsu-nami redefine entre los años 1960 y 1970 en el sonido rock fusión.
