Wingate (Brooklyn)

Wingate es un barrio en la zona centro-norte del distrito de Brooklyn en Nueva York. Está situado al este de Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, al sur de Crown Heights, al norte del Empire Boulevard, al este de la avenida Troy, al sur de Winthrop Street y al oeste de la avenid Nostrand.[1] El barrio es parte del Brooklyn Community Board 9.[2]

La zona fue originalmente conocida como Pig Town, y fue renombrada en la década de 1950 tras la construcción del Instituto George W. Wingate.[1]
