Chrysoviridae es una familia de virus que infectan a hongos, en particular a Penicillium. Tienen un genoma ARN bicatenario y por lo tanto se incluyen en el Grupo III de la Clasificación de Baltimore. Su nombre se deriva de la palabra griega "chrysos" que significa verde-amarillento. Las partículas del virus no tienen envoltura y son de forma icosaédrica con un diámetro de 35-40 nm. El genoma presenta tres segmentos de ARN bicatenario. Los tres segmentos tienen secuencias altamente conservativas en ambas terminaciones.
