Historia

La franquicia fue fundada en 1966 y jugó originalmente en la American Football League, que se fusionó con la NFL en 1970.

Los Bengals disputaron dos finales de la SuperBowl en los años ochenta, la SuperBowl XVI (1982) y la SuperBowl XXIII (1989), perdiendo las dos contra los San Francisco 49ers.
