Achuguayo

Achuguayo, en la Mitología guanche de Tenerife (Canarias, España) dios de la luna. Era la dualidad del dios Magec (dios del sol). Se lo llamaba también "Padre de los tiempos", pues el era el encargado de regularlo; siendo sus fases, así como la marcha de la estrella vaquera, motivo de observaciones para los sacerdotes Guadameñes y Samarines, que además de astrólogos barruntaban los cambios meteorológicos o sea las cabañuelas con aplicación a la agricultura y al pastoreo. Arreglado a las revoluciones sinódicas del Dios Luna. Dividían el año en doce partes, que apellidaban primera luna, segunda luna etc...
