HMS Argyll

HMS Argyll ha sido el nombre de tres buques de la Royal Navy británica, en honor a Argyll en Escocia.

  • navío de línea armado con 50 cañones botado en 1650 con 38 cañones y con el nombre de President, fue renombrado HMS Bonadventure en 1660, y fue reconstruido en cuatro ocasiones, hasta recibir el nombre HMS Argyll en 1715. Fue hundido en 1748 para ser usado como rompeolas.
  • crucero acorazado de clase Bell Rock entre los Fiordos de Forth y Tay en 1915.
  • HMS Argyll, es una fragata del Tipo 23 dada de alta en mayo de 1991. Ha sido desplegada en varias ocasiones, como en la guerra civil de Sierra Leona en el año 2000 y el el Golfo Pérsico desde febrero hasta agosto de 2005.
