Ian Ashbee (Birmingham, Inglaterra, 6 de septiembre de 1976) es un futbolista inglés que juega de mediocampista en el Preston North End del FA Premier League.

Ashbee es el capitán actual del Hull City, y es el único futbolista en la historia de la liga inglesa que ha jugado como capitán del mismo equipo en cada uno de las cuatro ligas profesionales de Inglaterra.[1] Fue el capitán de Hull City durante la temporada 2003/4 en la 4ª categoría del fútbol inglés, 2004/5 en la 3ª, pasó 3 años en la segunda catagoría, el Football League Championship, y finalmente jugaba entre los 2008 y 2010 con Hull City en el FA Premier League, la máxima categoría de la liga inglesa. En Enero 2011, Ashbee dejó Hull City desde 8 años en East Yorkshire. Ahora juega con Preston North End en el Championship, la segunda categoría de la liga inglesa.[2]
