SG 500 Jagdfaust

El SG 500 Jagdfaust era un cohete aire-aire experimental diseñado para ser utilizado por la Luftwaffe del Tercer Reich durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial como arma antibombarderos. Iba instalado verticalmente (para disparar hacia arriba) en el avión cohete Messerschmitt Me 163. Cinco SG 500 iban montados en cada ala, sumando un total de 10 cohetes por avión.

La instalación de los cohetes estaba acompañada por un sensor óptico, que disparaba los cohetes siempre que un Me 163 armado con Jagdfaust volase debajo de la sombra de su blanco, un bombardero aliado. Este sistema automático de disparo fue inventado antes de los sistemas IFF (Identification friend or foe, Identificador de amigos o enemigos), por lo que no podía diferenciar entre aviones de la Luftwaffe o de los aliados. El SG 500 tiene acreditado un solo derribo, un bombardero B-17 Flying Fortress.
