Lysychansk (en ucraniano Лисичанськ) es una ciudad del sudeste de Ucrania, en el óblast de Lugansk, y es el centro administrativo del raión de Lysychansk.Está situada en la orilla derecha del río Donets, a 8 kilómetros al sudoeste de Severodonetsk y a 74 kilómetros al noroeste de Lugansk. Su población es de 111.451 habitantes (2005).

Historia

Lysychansk fue fundada en 1795 en el lugar de la primera explotación carbonífera del Donbass, abierta en 1786. Obtuvo el estatuto de ciudad en 1938. Posteriormente se convirtió en un centro importante de la industria química.
