Mary Arden

Mary Arden (c. 1540-1608), aristócrata inglesa, madre del notable dramaturgo William Shakespeare. Se casó hacia 1557 con John Shakespeare. Perteneciente a la alta aristocracia de Warwickshire. Era la más joven de las ocho hijas de Robert Arden, y heredó la tierra y granja que su padre le dejó al fallecer. Mary dio a luz a ocho hijos:

  • Joan (1558-1569)
  • Margaret (1562-1563)
  • William (1564-1616)
  • Gilbert (1566-1611)
  • June (1569–1646)
  • Anne (1571-1579)
  • Richard (1574–1612)
  • Edmund (1580–1607).

Mary Arden, esposa de John Shakespeare, madre de William Shakespeare y madre que dio luz a ocho hijos, falleció en el año 1608.
