NIC handle

Un NIC handle (Network Information Centre handle) es una secuencia alfanumérica única que representa una entrada en la base de datos mantenida por Network Information Centres. Cuando se registra un nuevo dominio domain name con un domain name registrar, un NIC handle es asignado por el registrador a un conjunto en particular de información asociado con el nombre de dominio (como quién registra, el correo electrónico de contacto). Una vez un nombre de dominio es registrado, el NIC handle puede ser utilizado para buscar el registro en la base de datos.
