El Budavamsa es una texto budista que forma parte del Canon Pali del Budismo Theravada.

Se incluye en el Khuddaka Nikaya del Sutra Pitaka. Es un texto en verso de corta extensión en 28 capítulos, detallando aspectos de la vida de Gautama Buda y los 24 budas precedentes. Este texto canónico, junto con el Apadana y Cariyapitaka, ha sido descrito como hagiográfico (sobre historias de vidas de santos)[1] y posterior al Canon.[2]
