SAP (tv)

Second Audio Program (sigla: SAP; en español: Segundo Programa de Audio), es un canal de audio, generalmente mono, que en forma simultanea es transmitido en la programación de un canal de televisión. Su objetivo principal es otorgar una opción mas de audio para el televidente, como por ejemplo, el audio original de una película, la cobertura de un evento sin los comentarios de los presentadores, o también inclusive, ofrecer otro grupo de presentadores para el mismo evento.

Generalmente, la mayoría de los Canales que transmiten su programación tienen disponible este recurso, transmiten su programación en estéreo, ellas transmiten 1 señal de vídeo y 3 canales de audio (Estéreo izquierdo, Estéreo derecho y SAP). La opción SAP solamente está disponible para canales locales o canales de Cable. No está disponible para entradas de vídeo.
