Su creación

La banda se conoció previamente bajo el nombre de “Free Beer” (cerveza gratis). La creación tuvo lugar en un sótano en el que hicieron sus tempranas grabaciones llamado “el Estudio Jamonkey”. El vocalista confensó ser adicto al crack, pero la banda aun sigue.

Su canción "Direct to Helmet" (directa al casco) fue lanzada como single en el Reino Unido en marzo de 2006 y también fue destacada en el disco “Rough Trade shop's Counter Culture 05”. La banda salió de gira en 2006 con los “Arctic Monkeys”.

Thomas Hughes co-escribió y produjo “Camp Blood: The Musical” (campamento sangriento, el musical) en 2005.

La banda apareció el 5 de mayo en “Later with Jools Holland” (de Björk).

Su canción “Oh Mandy” se ha utilizado para la película “Four Eyed Monsters” dirigida por Susan Buice y Arin Crumley.
