Los sumas eran una etnia del Norte de México y Sur de Estados Unidos, actualmente desaparecida

Localización

Los sumas se localizaban entre el noroeste de Chihuahua y el noreste de Sonora, se integraron a algunas de las misiones de los misioneros españoles durante los siglos XVII y XVIII. Eventualmente desparecieron, principalmente a través del mestizaje que tuvo lugar en los establecimientos de esa zona.
