En la mitología de Cantabria los tentirujos o tentirujus son diablillos tentadores de orejas puntiagudas, ropajes encarnados y boina en la cabeza. Se aprovechan de la invisibilidad que les producen los brotes tiernos de mandrágora que siempre llevan para acariciar a las mozas y volverlas descaradas. Tiene similitudes al busgosu de la mitología asturiana.
