The Big O es una serie Anime producida por Sunrise. Dirigida por Kazuyoshi Katayama, con mechas diseñados por Keiichi Sato, y escrita por Chiaki J. Konaka (Serial Experiments Lain).

Cuarenta años antes de los eventos de la serie, un misterioso hecho ocurre en Paradigm City y todo el mundo pierde la memoria. La serie narra la historia de Roger Smith, el mejor negociador de Paradigm city. Es ayudado por un androide llamado R. Dorothy Wayneright y su mayordomo Norman Burg. Cuando nececesita ayuda, Roger llama al Big O, un mecha gigante (Megadeus).
