Trixie Smith

Trixie Smith (1895 , 1943) cantante de Blues.

Nacida en Atlanta, Georgia, en 1922 realizó sus primeras grabaciones para Black Swan y tiempo después para Paramount. Durante los años 1930 cambia de compañía de discos, realizando nuevas grabaciones para la Decca Records. En sus grabaciones discográficas siempre estuvo acompañada de las mejores bandas de Jazz de la época como Fletcher Henderson and his Orchestra y la The Original Memphis Five (agrupación conformada por personas de raza blanca). En los años 1930 aparece en unas cuantas películas. Muere en la ciudad de Nueva York.
