USS Concord

USS Concord, ha sido el nombre recibido por cinco buques de la Armada de los Estados Unidos en honor al pueblo de Concord (Massachusetts).

  • El balandra botada en 1828, hundida tras encayar en un banco de arena en Mozambique.
  • El cañonero en servicio desde 1890 hasta 1909, que participó en la Batalla de Cavite.
  • El remolcador adquirido en 1917, fue renombrado Mendota (YT-3) en 1920, y Muscotah en 1932, fue puesto fuera de servicio en 1934.
  • El crucero ligero dado de alta en 1923, y que participó en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, fue dado de baja en diciembre de 1945.
  • El buque almacen de combate dado de alta en 1968, tras ser dado de baja, fue asignado al Military Sealift Command con el nombre USNS Concord (T-AFS-5), con el cual, permanece en activo.
