Unus mundus

Unus mundus, literalmente ‘un mundo’, o ‘un solo mundo’, es un término que se refiere al concepto de una realidad subyacente unificada a partir de la cual todo emerge y a la cual todo retorna. Fue popularizado por el psicólogo analítico suizo Carl Gustav Jung, aunque el término se utilizó ya en el siglo XVI por Gerhard Dorn, un estudiante del famoso alquimista Paracelso.

Los conceptos junguianos de arquetipo y sincronicidad están relacionados con el Unus mundus, el Arquetipo sería una expresión del Unus mundus. Sincronicidad, o coincidencia significativa, son factibles por el hecho de que ámbos, el observador y el acontecimiento concurrente, se derivan en última instancia de la misma fuente, el Unus mundus.

Unus mundus representa una alusión empírica a la unidad ontológica presente en todo Ser, a la unidad última de Todo. La multiplicidad fácticamente observable se fundamenta en una Unidad, desechándose toda potencial viabilidad en la existencia de Multiversos, ya sea en separación ya en mezcolanza.

La vivencia del Unus mundus apunta hacia la apertura de una ventana hacia la eternidad.

Para Jung «Mientras que el concepto Unus mundus es una especulación metafísica, lo Inconsciente puede ser experimentado en sus manifestaciones de manera al menos indirecta».[1]
