Las cosas están por ponerse aún más peligrosas para la Jefa de Policía norteamericana Carrie Stetko. Ella es la única representante de la ley en ese territorio inclemente. Fue enviada allí recientemente, para que investigara un cuerpo encontrado en el hielo. El primer homicidio en la Antártida. Ese descubrimiento, ya de por sí espantoso, la sumergirá en extraños misterios y encontrará secretos escondidos desde hace mucho tiempo entre la vastedad de los hielos… allí hay alguien que piensa que vale la pena matar para que esos secretos, permanezcan siendo secretos.

Stetko se apura para encontrar al asesino antes que él la encuentre a ella. El invierno se acerca, y con él la mortal noche antártica. Si eso pasa, ella no podrá verlo hasta que esté a un suspiro de distancia de ella.
