Gríðarvölr

En la Mitología nórdica, Gríðarvölr es la vara mágica que la giganta jötunn Gríðr, (también madre del dios Víðarr fecundada por Odín), regaló al dios Thor advertida de las intenciones de Loki que indujo al gigante Geirröd para asesinarle; ella le ayudó con ciertos regalos mágicos como los guantes Járngreipr y la mencionada vara. Estos objetos salvaron la vida de Thor quien en ese momento no contaba con su Mjölnir.

Gríðr se menciona en el poema Þórsdrápa y también Skáldskaparmál de Snorri Sturluson.
