Iso'dad de Merw

Iso'dad de Merw o Merv, que floreció en el siglo IX, fue obispo de Hedatta, en las riberas del Tigris, Mesopotamia, teólogo y escritor en lengua siríaca.

Compuso en siriíaco diversos Comentarios a los libros de la Sagrada Escritura, tanto del Antiguo como del Nuevo Testamento, que constituyen un valioso exponente de la exégesis nestoriana; por eso, por ejemplo, en cuestiones marianas, evita llamar a María "Madre de Dios".
