Khitai

Khitai es un país ficticio de los relatos de fantasía de Robert E. Howard que corresponde con China en la antediluviana Era Hiboria.

Khitai corresponde básicamente en todo con China, su población es de piel amarilla, de ojos rasgados y su vestimenta es idéntica a la indumentaria tradicional china. Su civilización construyó grandes ciudades y enormes murallas.

Los kitán fueron un grupo étnico proto-mongol que dominó gran parte de Manchuria cuyo nombre tártaro Catay dio origen a nombre actual de China en español y la mayoría de lenguas occidentales.
