The Party es una película estadounidense de 1968, del género comedia, producida y dirigida por Blake Edwards, protagonizada por Peter Sellers en el rol principal.

Contenido

Argumento

Un actor hindú, Hrundi V. Bakshi (Peter Sellers) se encuentra en Hollywood, donde solo ha conseguido roles como extra. Durante la filmación de una versión del clásico filme Gunga Din, interpreta el papel del famoso personaje.

Durante un descanso, por accidente, destroza el decorado de la película en la que interviene, por lo que es despedido. No obstante, recibe por error una invitación del productor de la película para acudir a una fiesta. En la fiesta, los acontecimientos se precipitan, incluyendo una invasión de espuma, un elefante bebé, un camarero alcohólico, un pollo volador, una troupe de músicos rusos y un lorito y su alimento, "Pajarito Num Num".
