Larry Sanders (nacido el 21 de noviembre de 1988 en Fort Pierce, Florida) es un jugador de baloncesto estadounidense que pertenece a la plantilla de Milwaukee Bucks de la NBA. Con 2,08 metros de estatura, juega en la posición de Ala-Pívot.

Trayectoria deportiva

High School

Sanders no jugó al baloncesto hasta noveno grado, ya que su escuela privada no ofrecía deportes. Posteriormente se trasladó al Instituto Port St. Lucie, donde promedió 18.9 puntos y 13 rebotes en su año senior, y lideró a Port St. Lucie a un balance de 20 victorias y 8 derrotas y al campeonato District 13-5A. Sanders fue incluido en el mejor equipo del estado.[1]

Universidad

En su primera temporada en la Virginia Commonwealth University, Sanders fue incluido en el mejor quinteto de novatos de la Colonial Athletic Association y en el mejor quinteto defensivo. En su segundo año con los Rams promedió 11.3 puntos y 8.6 rebotes y fue coronado como mejor defensor de su conferencia.[2] Su progresión continuó en su tercera y última campaña en la universidad, promediando 14.4 puntos, 9.1 rebotes y 2.6 tapones por partido, y siendo nombrado por segundo año consecutivo mejor defensor de la conferencia.[3] Además, fue incluido en el mejor quinteto de la CAA.

Larry Sanders anunció en abril de 2010 su intención de declararse elegible para el Draft de la NBA de 2010.[4]

Profesional

Fue seleccionado en la 15ª posición del Draft de la NBA de 2010 por Milwaukee Bucks.[5]
