Es muy buena amiga de la actriz Carley Stenson.

Melissa sale con el soldado Ryan Wells; la pareja se comprometió en agosto del 2010 mientras se encontraban de vacaciones en Roma.[1] [2]

Carrera

El 26 de noviembre del 2008 apareció por primera vez en el spinoff Hollyoaks: Later donde interpretó a Loretta Jones.

Poco después en febrero del 2009 se unió al elenco principal de la serie Hollyoaks donde interpretó de nuevo a Loretta Jones hasta el 27 de julio del 2010, después de que su personaje se admitiera en un hospital psiquiátrico.[3]
