National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (Centro Nacional para niños perdidos y explotados) es una institución de los Estados Unidos dedicada a la busqueda y protección de menores contra actos que afecten su integridad física y moral. Actualmente se dasarrollan actividades sobre seguridad infantil, campañas en contra la prostitución y pornografía de niños, que tenido gran difusión gracias a la aparición de nuevos medios de comunicación. Este centro recibe el aporte y la cooperación de diversas compañias del ámbito comercial y social en su país y publica periódicamente una lista con información sobre criminales sexuales involucrados en ataques a menores y mujeres registrados en forma reciente y que se encuetran convictos. En la Argentina, existe una organización similar nacida como un grupo solidario en 1999, que luego se constitutyo en una Asociación civil sin fines de lucro, cuya función es "Ayudar a las familias a encontrar a sus chicos perdidos". Así como su par estadounidense ha logrado resolver muchísimos casos de desaparición de menores hasta el momento.
