O Chin-u

El general O Chin-u (8 de marzo de 1917 – 25 de febrero de 1995) fue un militar y político norcoreano.

Fue ministro del Ejército Popular de Corea durante muchos años hasta su muerte en febrero de 1995. O, fue la tercera persona más poderosa en Corea del Norte, después de que Kim Il-Sung y Kim Jong Il. Muy poco se sabe de él, excepto por el hecho de que sirvió en la unidad partidista de Kim Il Sung y, finalmente, emergió de las filas del Ejército Popular de Corea.

Se distinguió durante la Guerra de Corea y fue asesor de confianza del líder norcoreano hasta su muerte. O, murió de cáncer en 1995, un año después que Kim Il Sung. A su muerte, Kim Jong Il dejó vacante durante más de siete meses el puesto, para luego nombrar a Choi Kwang.

Fue uno de los dos oficiales del Ejército Popular de Corea que llegó a rango de Wonsu.
