Siopao (燒包, literalmente ‘panecillo al vapor’; filipino: siyopaw) es el nombre hokkien para su versión del baozi. También se llama salapao en Tailandia.

Es un plato popular en la Filipinas. No necesitas utensilios para ser consumido, de forma que puede tomarse por la calle. Como en el caso de baozi, hay diversidad de rellenos para el siopao, ya sea carne asada o bola-bola de cerdo, pollo o ternera, gamba o huevo de pato en salazón.
