Take the Lead ( Déjate LLevar en España y Ritmo y Seducción en Latinoamérica ) es una película estadounidense de 2006, del género drama, musical, dirigida por Liz Friedlander, protagonizada por Antonio Banderas, Rob Brown, Yaya Da Costa, Alfre Woodard y Jenna Dewan en los papeles principales.

Argumento

Pierre Dulaine (Antonio Banderas) es un maestro de baile que un día mientras regresaba del trabajo observa como un chico golpea un auto, pero al momento de ir a hablar con él, éste escapa y deja tirada una tarjeta del propietario del auto (la directora de una preparatoria), y decide ir a verla. Cuando se reúne con ella, Pierre se percata que la postura de la misma denota desinterés por la realidad en la que se ven inmersos los alumnos de la preparatoria.

La directora distingue un grupo de adolescentes como los chicos "problemáticos" y le comenta a Pierre sobre ellos con desaliento y resignación. Pierre se propone a conocer mejor la realidad de estos adolescentes y decide ayudarlos poniendo en juego su pasión por el baile como una propuesta para la superación de la marginación y el abatimiento que atraviesan.

El desarrollo de la historia continúa con el proceso de aprendizaje en el que los alumnos de la preparatoria a través del baile pueden conseguir superar situaciones de discriminación, pobreza, extrema violencia y depresión, en paralelo con los conflictos propios de la adolescencia como etapa de vida.

El grupo de jóvenes finalmente puede sobreponerse a las dificultades iniciales y reconstruir su rol en la sociedad al encontrarse con sus límites y capacidades, gracias a la perseverancia y determinación de Pierre, que los contagia con ganas de vivir y luchar por lo que uno sueña.
