The Cromwell Initiative fue una banda underground de metal, oriunda de Winston Salem, Carolina del norte. Destaca ya que en sus filas participó Dennis Lee, vocalista screamer de la banda de post hardcore Alesana.

Historia

La banda estaba constituida por Dennis Lee (voz), Sam Schumacher (voz, guitarra), Droo Taylor (guitarra), Kevin McBee (bajo) y Andrew Gorbea (batería), según ellos, formados por: Un amor compartido de hacer música y una única, a veces estúpida, la perspectiva sobre el mundo y los acontecimientos actuales. La banda duró alrededor de dos años y los antiguos miembros han llegado a unirse a otras bandas tales como: Alesana, MyHeroIsMe, Homewrecker y Keeping The Promise. En la actualidad la banda es sólo un recuerdo conservado en una pobre calidad de los demos y algunas fotografías.[1]

Justin Semones se encargó de producir y comercializar el demo, el fue fundamental como amigo de TCI.[2]

La banda jamás grabó demos, solo se encuentran 5 demos dispersos en su MySpace y Purevolume,[1] [2] aunque en su Purevolume aparecen bajo el demo Metal Has No Bedtime.[2]
