The Ugly Organ, lanzado en 2003, es el cuarto álbum de estudio de la banda de post-hardcore Cursive. Es un álbum conceptual que sigue una historia de la lujuria, el amor y el sexo en todo el vacío "Feo Organista de la vida".

Historia

El álbum alcanza un pico emocional en la última pista, y el organista feo exclama que es permanecer vivo, en medio del engaño, el asesinato y la depresión expresadas durante el álbum.

Este álbum es la versión 51 de Saddle Creek Records . Fue lanzado en vinilo 180 gramos en negro y transparente de vinilo de color verde.

El nombre del disco es "The Ugly Organ" aunque en su portada dice: Cursive's Presents The Ugly Organ.

Allmusic le dió 4 estrellas al igual que la revista Rolling Stone, Punknews.org le dió 4 estrellas 1/2 y Pitchfork Media lo clasificó con un 7.0 de 10.

Es el primer disco de estudio en el cual "Gretta Cohn" partcipa con el cello.
