Bertrand Barère de Vieuzac
Bertrand Barère de Vieuzac (Tarbes, Bigorra, 1755-1841), abogado y político revolucionario francés de origen occitano.
Fue abogado del parlamento de Tolosa y diputado a los Estados Generales (1788). Miembro del tribunal de casación y posteriormente diputado a la Convención, de la cual fue elegido presidente en (1792).
Políticamente, evolucionó desde posiciones moderadas hasta una exaltación revolucionaria que culminó en su designación como miembro del Comité de Salvación Pública. No abandonó a Robespierre hasta última hora y por ello fue deportado al Poitou en 1795. Se dedicó después al periodismo y publicó obras literarias y políticas.
