- William Doyle - Former state commander of the American Legion.
- Robert Clark - Heir to the Singer sewing machine fortune.
- Gerald MacGuire - Bond salesman for Clark, and a member of the Connecticut American Legion. MacGuire was the key recruiter to General Butler.[2]
