Cacolo

Cacolo es una comuna y también un municipio (Concelho de Cacolo) de la provincia de Lunda del Sur, en el este de Angola, región fronteriza con la República Democrática del Congo.

Geografía

El término tiene una extensión superficial de 15 400 km² y una población de 76 089 habitantes.[1]

Linda al norte con la provincia de Lunda del Norte, municipios de Capenda-Camulemba y de Lubalo; al este con los municipios de Saurimo y Dala; al sur con la provincia de Moxico, municipios de Moxico y de Cuemba; y al oeste con el de Quirima en la provincia de Malanje y de Cambundi-Catembo en la de Bié.

Este municipio agrupa cuatro comunas:

  • Cacolo, sede.
  • Alto Chicapa
  • Cucumbi
  • Xassengue.
