David Lyme

David Lyme (Jordi Cubino) es un cantante español de música disco, y uno de los pilares del llamado Vallès Sound, que se hizo famoso en Europa en la década de 1980 con canciones como Bambina, Let's Go To Sitges y Lady, entre otros. En 1985 edita su primer single con la compañís Max Music y es tal el éxito que pronto lanza dos singles más hasta la publicación de su primer álbum, Like a star. Like a star incluye ocho piezas incluyendo dos baladas, una nueva versión de Bambina así como los singles Bye bye mi amor y I don't wanna lose you. Sus singles son editados en diferentes paises de Europa pero es en Japón donde David Lyme adquiere un éxito importante, dedicándole posteriormente una canción de su segundo álbum Lady titulada I'm dancing in Japan En 1986 escribe la canción Dolce Vita para Cristian Conde como claro homenaje al hit de Ryan Paris del año anterior y que dos años más tarde incluiría con su propia voz en su segundo álbum, Lady Todos sus singles están incluidos en la recopilación de éxitos del momento llamados Max Mix, destacando sus aportaciones musicales en las ediciones del Max Mix 2 (Let's go to Sitges), Max Mix 3 (Bambina), Max Mix 4 (Playboy), Max Mix 5 (I don't wanna lose you), Max Mix 5 (2ª parte)(Bye bye mi amor), y Max Mix 6 (Never Say You Love Me). En 1988 compone la canción Let me be your love interpretada por Silver Pozzoli y que posteriormente incluiría en su álbum Lady. Lady, su segundo y último álbum como solista incluye singles como Never Say You Love Me, la balada Lady que da nombre al disco, así como las versiones propias mencionadas de Dolce Vita y Let me be your love. Hacia 1990 David Lyme rompe sus vinculos con Max Music, fichando por la competidora en aquel momento, Blanco y Negro, y lanza el que sería su último single como cantante, Perestroika
