El dohol es un tambor cilíndrico de dos parches de piel. Es generalmente percutido en un lado con una baqueta doblada en su punta, y con un baqueta delgada en el otro lado, aunque también es tocado con las manos. Es el acompañamiento para el oboe persa sorna.
