Afghan Television

Afghan Television (también conocido como Afghan TV) es un canal de televisión comercial, con sede en Kabul, capital de Afganistán, desde finales de 2004. La estación es propiedad de Mr. Afghanzai, un empresario afgano y actualmente transmite sólo para la región del Gran Kabul. A inicios de 2006, la estación fue multada con 50.000 afganis (aproximadamente 1.000 dólares) por la Corte Suprema Afgana, luego de que transmitiera lo que la corte denominó "imágenes inapropiadas".

El caso fue televisado por Afghan TV y fue cubierto extensamente por otros medios, sin embargo, el poderoso clero en el país no sólo logró que se multara a Afghan TV, sino que también restringió la capacidad de otros canales de televisión de emitir programas de entretención.
