El Teniente General Sir Frederick Arthur Montague Browning (20 de diciembre de 1896 - 14 de marzo de 1965) fue un oficial militar del Reino Unido, que tomó parte en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Fue también el esposo de la novelista Daphne du Maurier.

Su más destacada participación militar, la realizó como el Comandante Suplente del Primer Regimiento Aerotransportado Aliado, en la Operación Market Garden.

Browning comenzó en el ejército durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, donde conoció a Sir Winston Churchill. Fue promovido a Capitán en 1920, y a Mayor en 1928. Obtuvo el rango de Teniente Coronel en 1935. Luchó en el frente británico en África del Norte, Sicilia e Italia. En 1943, pasó a formar parte del Primer Regimiento Aerotransportado Aliado, bajo las órdenes del estadounidense Lewis Brereton.

Tras el fracaso de Market Garden, Browning no recibió más promociones, y en 1948 se retiró del ejercicio armado, para trabajar en la Tesorería Real.
